Haftanın son gününü güzel bir kalemle kapatalım istedim: Montblanc Meisterstück 144. Bu kalem bir arkadaşımın neredeyse 20 yıllık kalemi. Bana getirip, bu kalem yazmıyor ne yapsak dediğinde bir süre el koydum malumunuz :) Şimdi ise tamir edildi, mürekkeplendi, sahibine iade edildi. Bakalım nasılmış?
Öncelikle ben ecnebilerin two-tone dedikleri iki renkli uçları pek sevmiyorum. Bence en güzeli tek renk uç. Bu kalemin de ucu eski Montblanclar'da olduğu gibi tek renk. Uç 14 ayar altın. Oldukça güzel bir yazımı var. Aşağıdaki fotoğraftan anlaşılacağı üzere hafif bir esnekliği de mevcut.
Montblanc 144'ün beni en çok şaşırtan özelliklerinden bir tanesi ise kapağı ve dolum sistemi. Alıştığımız Meisterstück serisinin aksine kapağı vidalı değil, tatlı ve güven verici bir tık sesi ile kapanıyor. Dolum sistemi de büyük abileri gibi piston değil, kartuş ve dönüştürücü ile çalışıyor.
En sevdiğim yanlarından biri ise, kalemin boyutları oldu. Nispeten küçük ellere sahip bir insan olarak, Montblanc'ın 146 ve 149 serileri bana çok büyük geliyor. Oysa Montblanc 144 gördüğünüz gibi neredeyse Pilot 78G boyutlarında, hatta daha da ufak. Açıkçası bu kalemi çok sevdim. Kullanımı çok pratik ve ucu da çok güzel. Umarım bir gün ben de bir tane edinirim.

Hi all,
I wanted to close the week with a beautiful pen: Montblanc Meisterstück 144. This pen belongs to a friend of mine for over 20 years. He brougth the pen to me and said "This pen doesn't work" and asked what to do. So I have to keep it for a while you know ;) Now, it has been repaired, inked and returned to its owner. Let's see how it was.
First of all, I have to say that, I am not a fan of two tone nibs. I prefer mono-tones. And this fountain pen has a mono-tone nib as in old Montblanc's. It is a 14c gold nib. Very smooth and as you can see from the photos it is slightly flex.
One of the most surprising feature of Montblanc 144 is the cap and filling system. Unlike the regular screw cap Montblanc Meisterstücks, 144 has a snap on cap with a nice confidant click sound. And the filling system is not a piston filler, it is a cartridge/converter pen.
And one my favorite thing about this pen is the size. As a woman with rather small hands, Montblanc 146 and 149 is quite big for my taste. On the other hand, Montblanc 144 is not bigger than a Pilot 78G, even smaller. Frankly, I liked this pen. It is practical and I liked the nib. I hope I can find one in a mint condition.
