Bu hafta giriş seviyesi sayılabilecek dolmakalemlerden Sailor Lecoule ile buradayım. Sailor Lecoule, günlük kullanıma uygun, çeşitli renkleriyle pek çok farklı yaş grubundan kullanıcıya hitap eden kullanışlı bir kalem.

Giriş seviyesi bir kalem olarak, oldukça basit bir plastik kutu içerisinde, yanında kartuşlarıyla birlikte geliyor. Kartuşlar, vakumlu poşetle sağlama alınmış şekilde, kargo koşullarından minimum düzeyde etkilenecek şekilde paketlenmiş. Bu fiyat seviyesinde bir kalem için kutu oldukça iş görür nitelikte. Eğer kalemliğiniz yoksa, kaleminizi taşımak için bu kutuyu kullanabilirsiniz örneğin.
Benim elimdeki Sailor Lecoule sedefli beyaz gövde rengine ve yarı şeffaf mor kapak ve tepe süsüne sahip. Kalem üzerinde abartılı bir markalama mevcut değil. Kapak eteğinin bir tarafında Lecoule, diğer tarafında ise Sailor Japon yazıyor. Kapak çevirmeli, böylelikle bollaşma veya tutmama gibi sorunlardan endişe etmeye gerek yok. Endişe etmeniz gereken tek şey, kalemleri ellerine alınca, kapağı asılarak çekecek arkadaşlarınız.
Sailor Lecoule hafif bir kalem. Boyut olarak da Kaweco Sporttan büyük, Lamy Safari'den küçük olmakla birlikte büyük ellere sahipseniz kapaklı kullanmak isteyebileceğiniz kalemlerden biri. Sailor Lecoule Sailor'ın giriş seviyesinde kullandığı çelik uçlarla geliyor. Benim elimdeki uç MF olarak geçen inceye yakın bir medium uç. Bu uçlar, özellikle Japon alfabesinin daha girift karakterlerini yapmak için uygunlar. Diğer Sailor kalemlerde olduğu gibi bu kalem de, Sailor'ın kendi kartuşlarını kullanıyor.

Yukarıda da bahsettiğim gibi kalemin ucu oldukça ince. Bu açıdan, ben bu kalemin Latin alfabesiyle okuma yazmayı öğrenen çocuklara da değil de, belirli bir yaşa gelmiş, yazısı oturmuş ve dolmakaleme başlamak isteyen yetişkin veya gençlere daha uygun olacağı kanaatindeyim. Çocuklar içinse, daha ziyade Medium, A (başlangıç ucu) ya da Broad uçlu dolmakalemlerin daha iyi olduğu kanaatindeyim. Bu kalemin fiyatı ülkemizde 140 lira civarında. Yurtdışı fiyatı ise 30 dolar civarında seyrediyor.

This week we have Sailor Lecoule which can be deemed as a beginners pen. Sailor Lecoule is a practical daily pen aims many different age groups with the different colors and color combinations.
As an entry level fountain pen, Sailor Lecoule comes in a basic plastic box and with the cartrdiges inside. Cartridges are safely stored in vacuum packs so that the shipping conditions will not have detrimental effects upon the fountain pen. For this price level, I think the box is nice. You can carry your pen with it if you do not have a pen case yet.
My Sailor Lecoule has a pearl white body and semi-transparent purple cap on body top. There is no big branding on the pen. It just says Lecoule on one side of the cap end and Sailor Japan on the other end. Cap is a screw type so you don't have to worry about any loosening kind of problems. Only thing you can worry is some friend you start pulling your screw cap pens as they lay their hands on.
Sailor Lecoule is a light pen. About the dimensions, it is bigger than Kaweco Sport while it is shorter than the Lamy Safari. However, if you have bigger hands, you may want to use it with the cap posted. Sailor Lecoule comes with the beginner level steel nibs that Sailor uses in its entry level pens. Mine has a MF nib which is more like a Fine nib. Those nibs are mostly suitable with the complex letters of Japanese alphabet. And like in other Sailor pens, this pen uses Sailor cartridges and converters only.
As I mentioned above, the nib is quite fine. Therefore, I recommend this pen not to the kids just started writing with Latin alphabet but adults or young adults who has a settled handwriting and looking for a fountain pen to begin with. For kids, it is better to start with a Medium, Broad or A (starters nib) And the price range of this fountain pen is around 30 USD.
