Malum ders yılı başında D&R mağazalarını Rhodia defterlerle donatınca ben de bir iki tane kapmıştım kendime. Bunlardan bir tanesi de Rhodia'nın Business serisinden A5 boyutunda çizgili ve spiralli bir defterdi.
Defterin en büyük özelliklerinden biri de, iyi perdahlı 90 gramlık kağıttan mamul olması. Defter spiralli sırta sahip. Spiralli defterler konusundaki tartışma büyük(!) Kimileri özellikle spiralli defter tercih etse de, kimileri ise sarımsak görmüş vampir gibi kaçıyor. Doğrusu spiralli defterler çok estetik olmasalar da, özellikle üniversitede kolçaklı sandalyelerde not tutarken, ya da yazım alanının dar olduğu yer ve zamanlarda kolaylık sağlıyorlar.
Defterin asıl kapağı bu şekilde. Siyah, çizgili zemin üzerinde turuncu Rhodia Logosu mevcut. Defterin bilgilerini içeren üst kapağı yırtıp atabilirsiniz (ya da saklayabilirsiniz). Bu açıdan özenli buldum. Ama maalesef aynı özeni arka kapakta görmek mümkün değil.
Arka kapakta çok fazla yazı, barkod vs. mevcut. Bence çok göz yorucu ve çirkin. Bu yazıların bir kısmının yasal zorunluluktan konmuş olması muhtemel ama keşke kapağın iç kısmına koyup, arka tarafı da öndeki gibi sade bıraksalarmış demekten alamadım kendimi. Bu arada, fiyat etiketi çok soluk olduğundan okunmuyor ama defterin fiyatı 14,5 TL.
Defteri açtığınızda iç kapağın hemen arkasında sert şeffaf plastikten bir sayfa çıkıyor karşınıza. Bu sayfada defterde önemli notları işaretleyebilmeniz için üç tane ayraç var. Bu ayraçları sayfadan kolaylıkla çıkartabilirsiniz. Yine sayfanın kenarında koparıp defterin içine takabileceğiniz bir cetvel mevcut.
Defterin sayfaları perforeli yapılmış. Yani sayfayı spiral ciltten kopardıktan sonra, perforesinden ayırarak kenardaki çapaklı görüntüden kurtulabilirsiniz. Ayrıca sayfa üzerindeki delikler marifetiyle, defterinize aldığınız notları kolayca başka bir dosyaya takabilirsiniz. Sayfanın üst kısmı başlık için ayrılan iki satırdan oluşuyor. Bu da toplantı konusunu, tarihi vs yazmak için kullanışlı. Ben bu defteri Lamy 2000, Pilot Vanishing Point, Osmiroid kaligrafi kalemi, Pelikan M150 ve Sheaffer No-Nonsense ile denedim.
Gördüğünüz gibi arka sayfada hiçbir şey yok. Fotoğrafta renkle oynamadım, sarı çıkmasının sebebi odaya vuran ikindi güneşi :) Rhodia özellikle kağıdı ile ünlü bir marka, hatırlarsanız daha önce de Webbie Dot Pad'i incelemiştim. Kağıt dolmakaleme çok uygun nitelikte. Tek sıkıntısı perdahı nedeniyle mürekkepler geç kuruyor ve bazen kağıdın yüzeyinin çok pürüzsüz olması nedeniyle, yumuşak uçlu kalemler atlama (skipping) yapabiliyor. Eğer dolmakalem kullanıyor ve özellikle ıslak uçlu kalemlerinizle kullanacak defter bulmakta sıkıntı yaşıyorsanız bu defteri denemenizde fayda var.

Within the beginning of this school year, some local stationery stores started offering Rhodia in a wide range. So I got some. One of them was a wirebound A5 notebook from the Business series of Rhodia.
One of the best feature of this notebook is that it is manufactured from the good quality 90 gsm paper. It has a wirebound back. And I know there is a huge(!) controversy about wirebounds. While some people especially prefer it, some other run away as if a vampire running away from the garlic. Frankly, even though wirebound notebooks are not aestethic enough, it really works well especially if you have to take notes on a chair with armrest, for instance in universities or if you have little space to write at your desk.
This is the real cover of the paper. You have the distinctive orange logo of Rhodia on a black lined bakground. You can tear apart the paper bearing the features of the notebook (or you could save it). I find it nice in this respect. However, it is not possible to see this refined thought on the back cover.
Back cover has so many writing, barcode etc. I think it is tiring and a bit ugly. I can imagine some of them might be legally mandatory to indicate but I with they put them inside. By the way, price was 14,5 TL (app 7 USD)
When you open the notebook, you confront with a page made of hard translucent plastic. There are three bookmark to index important points. They just pop-out when you slightly push it. Again, there is a ruler that you can instert anywhere in the wirebound.
Pages of the notebook are perforated. So, when you tear apart a page from wirebound, you can tear it again from the perforated part, so you won't have the crusty end. Besides, with the punch holes on the pages, after tearing apart, you can put your page into any file. On the top of the page there are two seperated lines for headlines. It is usefull to put a headline or note the date. I tried this notebook with Lamy 2000, Pilot Vanishing Point, Osmiroid Calligraphy pen, Pelikan M150 and Sheaffer No-Nonsense.
As you can see there is no trace on the back page. By the way, I didn't temper the colors, it looks yellow and reddish because of the evening sun I had in my room :) Rhodia is especially known for quality paper. As you might remember I reviewed the Rhodia Webbie Dot Pad previously. The paper is matching with fountain pens easily. The only problem; it takes more for ink to dry and sometimes (it is not always the case) but since it is glossy, some smooth pens skips on the paper. If you use fountain pen and you have hard times finding a notebook to use with your wet pens, you may give it a try.
